Published: 10 March 2011
Studsvik have extensive experience from performing analysis of radioactivity. We perform daily analyses of alpha, beta and gamma radiation on very diverse materials. Our customers are mainly in the field of nuclear technology but we also perform analyses for authorities, municipalities, the pharmaceutical industry, metal industry and others.

Analyses are conducted with strict quality requirements and selected methods are accredited under ISO 17025. The laboratory is also GMP certified by the Swedish authority for medical products (Good Manufacturing Practice).

Since we have a very broad knowledge of radioactivity analysis we can, in addition to performing analysis, assist with questions regarding everything from sampling to interpretation of results.

Examples of measurements we can perform are:

  • Gamma spectrometry
  • Alfa spectrometry
  • Screening for total alpha/beta activity
  • Tritium and carbon-14
  • Strontium-89 and Strontium-90
  • Ni-63

If you need to analyze other nuclides than the above, don't hesitate to contact us. We will be pleased to enter into a dialogue to see how we can find ways to fulfill your requirements. Our clients control the need for analysis methods and we work continuously with improving our efficiency, precision and capability to performing analysis.
